- 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ginger, grated
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp sesame oil
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Let marinate for 10 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large pan over high heat.
- Add garlic and ginger, stir for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add beef and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, add broccoli and stir-fry for 2 minutes.
- Pour in beef broth and cover to steam broccoli for 1-2 minutes until tender.
- Return beef to the pan, add brown sugar and sesame oil, and toss to combine.
- Cook for another minute until sauce thickens. Serve hot.
Notes
- Slice beef thinly against the grain for tenderness.
- Adjust sauce thickness by adding more broth or cornstarch slurry if needed.
- For extra spice, add red pepper flakes.
