- 4 tilapia fillets (about 6 oz each)
- 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 lemon, cut into wedges
Instructions
- Pat the tilapia fillets dry with a paper towel.
- In a small bowl, mix Cajun seasoning, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, oregano, and cayenne.
- Rub the spice mix evenly on both sides of the fish.
- Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Cook tilapia for 3-4 minutes per side until blackened and cooked through.
- Serve with lemon wedges.
Notes
- Adjust cayenne for more or less heat.
- Use fresh fish for best results.
- Pair with rice or a fresh salad.
