Ingredients

  • 4 tilapia fillets (about 6 oz each)
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 lemon, cut into wedges

Instructions

  1. Pat the tilapia fillets dry with a paper towel.
  2. In a small bowl, mix Cajun seasoning, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, oregano, and cayenne.
  3. Rub the spice mix evenly on both sides of the fish.
  4. Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Cook tilapia for 3-4 minutes per side until blackened and cooked through.
  6. Serve with lemon wedges.

Notes

  • Adjust cayenne for more or less heat.
