Instructions
- Peel and cut potatoes into thick strips.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pan to 350°F.
- Mix flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Add cold water to the dry mix and stir until smooth.
- Dip fish fillets into the batter, coating evenly.
- Fry fish in hot oil for 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove fish and drain on paper towels.
- Fry potato strips in the same oil for 4-5 minutes until crispy.
- Drain potatoes and season with salt.
- Serve fish and chips hot.
