  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon black food coloring

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8-inch baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk flour, cocoa powder, and salt together.
  3. In another bowl, mix melted butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla, stirring until smooth.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients, mixing until just incorporated.
  5. Pour batter into prepared pan.
  6. In a small bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and black food coloring.
  7. Transfer cream cheese mixture to a piping bag and pipe spiderweb designs on top of the brownie batter.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let cool before slicing.

Notes

  • For a darker web, add more black food coloring.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
  • Serve with whipped cream for extra indulgence.
