- 14 oz firm tofu, pressed and cubed
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- 2 green onions, sliced
Instructions
- Press tofu for 15 minutes, then cut into cubes and coat with cornstarch.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Fry tofu until golden and crispy on all sides. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, stir-fry bell pepper and broccoli for 3-4 minutes until slightly tender.
- Add garlic and ginger, stir for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 1 minute.
- Return tofu to the pan, toss to coat with sauce.
- Drizzle with sesame oil and sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.
Notes
- Use extra-firm tofu for better texture.
- Adjust sweetness by adding more or less honey.
- Serve over rice or noodles.
