- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1 cup salsa
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 bag (10 oz) tortilla chips
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup sliced black olives (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add the taco seasoning and salsa to the beef. Stir well and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Crush the tortilla chips and layer them in the bottom of a greased casserole dish.
- Spread the beef mixture over the chips. Top with shredded cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes. Top with lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, and olives before serving.
Notes
- You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
- Add jalapeños or hot sauce for extra spice.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
