- 1 cup white rice
- 4 cups water
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1 (12 oz) can evaporated milk
- 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Ground cinnamon for topping
Instructions
- Rinse the rice under cold water.
- In a pot, combine rice, water, and cinnamon stick. Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
- Remove cinnamon stick and add whole milk, evaporated milk, and condensed milk.
- Stir in sugar and vanilla extract.
- Cook on low heat for 30 minutes, stirring often.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Serve warm or chilled, topped with ground cinnamon.
Notes
- Use long-grain white rice for best results.
- Stir frequently to prevent sticking.
- Adjust sugar to taste.
- Refrigerate leftovers for up to 3 days.
